This page was born out of the idea by Jim Howell (LaGrande HS) that there should be an easy, but perhaps non-obtrusive, way for band directors to communicate using the OBDA website. So until I find a free forum feature from this provider and since we don't have a directory ( you should be able to email any OMEA member through www.oregonmusic.org ), I will maintain an online classified ads page, heretofor known as jimslist.

resolved/unavailable 20100618 I have lots of Bass Drums, Quads, Marching Snare Drums that I am surplusing because we are moving to a new school this summer. There are harnesses as well. I was wondering if anyone of you or anyone that you know might need/want them. It sure seems like a waste to get rid of all of these drums, some are actually in pretty good shape. There are enough instruments that are in good shape for an entire drum line.

FOR SALE: Brand New Cannonball Big Bell Stone Series Baritone Sax. Regular gold finish. This is the resonator stone series Baritone Sax with all the cool tiger eye stones. The extra keys, two necks, mouthpiece, gear bags, and so forth. In the beautiful hard case. This Sax has been played on maybe five times, just to check the tone. It's never been in a rehearsal or concert. It was purchased for an up and coming player, and now the family has lost their jobs, and can't pay me back. I will sacrifice this for about $4,200.00 because I need most of my money back on this. Paid more. Craig Olson reports he got a new chime frame (see last listing below) from the original Deagan Chime factory in Chicago Illinois. Century Mallet Company is now in that building and they repair and rebuild Deagan stuff.

Inventory Software Q: I have used Pyware Music Office for quite some time, but was
discontinued a couple of years ago. The district wants to know what
other schools are using for software when compiling their band
inventory, our do you just use Excel, or a similar spreadsheet? Any
help would be appreciated.

The Robinhood Festival Marching Band is assemblying once again for its 8th
year.
The parade will be Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m. in Sherwood.
Rehearsals will be as follows (it is not mandatory to make all rehearsals,
but please attend at least one and if you have to choose, please shoot for
the last rehearsal before the parade):

Monday, July 7th 7-8 p.m.(percussion only)
Wednesday July 9th 7-8 p.m.
Monday July 14th 7-8 p.m.
Thursday July 17 7-8 p.m.
We are planning on playing 3 songs this year: "I Want Candy,"
"Celebration," and "Hey Baby." If you need music, I can PDF you the parts.
We take all players of all ages of all abilities. I am hoping for 100
musicians this year and hopefully a return of the baton twirlers from two
years ago. Feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be
interested in playing.
Please email me back if you plan to play, I need your instrument and t-shirt
size if you don't have one from past years.
There is no cost to play, t-shirts are provided for free. We march in
comfortable shoes, and khaki shorts or pants.

I have hundreds (possibly thousands) of small, marching size band books in dozens of different titles and varieties. Some are complete sets but most are not. I was going to pitch them but somebody said something about a clearing house for people who collect such things. Does anyone know about this or have a use for them other than mulch? - Wanted: Frame to support full set of concert chimes (I'm assuming 1.5 octave, 1-1/4 inch tubes). His old one is falling apart but the chimes are fine.
